IWA has various committees that are formed by members who have volunteered to take part  in them. Each committee has a chair (some times even 2) that represents the committee at meetings. Chairs are elected every 2 years, but if a vacancy occurs between terms, the president ,with the approval of the Board ,can appoint a member to take over the committee. If you want to volunteer for a committee  please contact a member of the Board, they will tell you who to talk to.

The IWA committees are listed below:

Community Services Committee

Through the Community Services Committee (CSC), IWA supports many needy charities all over Georgia. Community Service Committee members visit charities, evaluate their situation, discuss requests during the CSC meetings and recommend donations to the IWA membership, which ratifies the recommendations.

If you are interested contact Gvantsa Zhuruli CSC chair: gvantsa_zhuruli@yahoo.com.

Fundraising Committee

Over the past year IWA have paid out thousands of dollars to various charities. Without the effort of our members  this would not have been possible. The main fundraising event every year is the Christmas Bazaar.  Hopefully future ones will continue to be a  successful   way of raising money.  That would enable us to  continue to help  needy people in Georgia. If you are interested in knowing more about fundraising, contact Patty Culpepper, Fundraising Chair: patty@internet.ge
